Event Co-ordination

We have over a decade’s experience running inspirational events, both our own and events for clients. We understand the challenges of creating an engaging event that also puts ethics and sustainability into practice.

We are experienced in navigating these challenges and developing events that ensure an engaged and inspired audience, as well as building a space that is inclusive and takes into account the diverse needs of attendees.

Considerations that we can help with include:

  • Venue hire
  • Sustainable caterers
  • Plastic-free and zero-waste solutions
  • PR and marketing
  • Supplier screening

Example Work

The Lush Prize for Alternatives to Animal Testing

We were first commissioned to organise the Lush Prize in 2012. The event offers a global prize fund to support initiatives to end or replace animal testing across five award categories: Lobbying, Training, Public Awareness, Science and Young Researchers.

The Lush Prize, founded in 2012, is a well-established collaboration between Lush and Ethical Consumer. The Lush Prize’s ultimate goal is to end animal testing. Each year, a pot of £250,000 is awarded to individuals or organisations working to end animal testing, with £2.19 million given out between 2012 and 2018.

Every year, the Lush Prize culminates in a substantial conference with hundreds of attendees from around the world. It draws some of the most important people and organisations in the field as well as media and press.

We manage the Prize on a day-to-day basis and organise the final conference. This entails a number of factors, including selecting and managing a suitable venue, sourcing food and refreshments for the many attendees, organising key speakers and ensuring the whole event runs smoothly.

Together with Lush, we have made the Lush Prize conference a major international event, which has been a great success every year it has occurred.

The Lush Spring Prize for Regeneration Projects

After the success of the Lush Prize for animal testing, we were commissioned to run a similar project aimed at supporting those who are working towards environmental and social regeneration.

The Lush Spring Prize is a biennial award for outstanding regenerative projects. The Prize event is not only an impressive awards ceremony but also an important space for networks to form and ideas to be exchanged. It runs over several days at Emerson collage in Sussex, with between 100 and 150 attendees, including prize-winners, judges, Lush staff and press.

It is essential that the Spring Prize event reflects the values of regeneration and sustainability that are at the core of the Prize itself. Each element of the Prize event, from food to venue, must therefore be carefully selected to ensure the event upholds the ethics it promotes while also remaining within budget.

The Prize is attended by people from all over the world, which brings an added level of complexity to the organisation of the event. We arrange live interpretation for all attendees, so they are able to speak in their own language during ceremonies, panels and workshops. The facilitation of live translation allows for a truly international event where meaningful networks and relationships can be created.

An eclectic range of activities are arranged for the Prize. As well as workshops, panels and prize giving, events have included samba bands, cèilidhs and guided night-time bat walks. Recent events have also included a day in London, which entailed organising transport and accommodation for all attendees.

The Spring Prize is a complex event, but it has been a joy to organise an event that is so wonderfully eclectic, inclusive and important.
