Ethical Consumer Magazine institutional subscriptions

Our magazine has been at the heart of the ethical consumer movement since 1989.

Each issue features detailed shopping guides, news of ethical products and campaigns, in-depth features, opinion, comment, boycott updates, readers' letters, and much more.

An annual institutional subscription gives full online access to our unique product guides, ethical rankings and company profiles and the essential ethical magazine in print or digital format.

New subscriptions

Institutional subscribers have two options.

Option 1

An institutional subscription can be accessed by up to 40 individuals concurrently. There is one login that would be shared by multiple users.

The account would be managed through a single point of contact, who would have responsibility for managing the account details and logins for the users.

What your organisation will receive:

  • 6 issues of Ethical Consumer Magazine in print (1 copy per issue).
  • 12 months full access to all online Shopping Guides and Company Profiles.
  • Access to digital versions of the latest magazine and our entire catalogue of back issues.

The cost for this subscription is £145.00 (excl VAT) per year. Additionally, we are able to offer one complimentary printed magazine per issue as part of this subscription.

Option 2 - digital only

The account would be managed through a single point of contact, but users would have responsibility for managing the account details and logins for the users.

What your organisation will receive:

  • 12 months full access to all online Shopping Guides and Company Profiles
  • Access to digital versions of the latest magazine and our entire catalogue of back issues.
  • You will be eligible for 10 individual Digital only accounts, where each of the 10 users will receive their own account linked to their email.

The cost for this is £145.00 (excl VAT) per year.

How to set up your subscription

Please call us on 0161 226 2929 to set up the subscription.

We require the contact details for the nominated person (name, email and postal address).

We are able to invoice for the subscription so require details of where the invoice should be sent.

What’s the difference between a subscription to the Corporate Research Database and the Ethical Consumer website?

With a subscription to the magazine and consumer site you get access to the consumer shopping guides and magazine, but not all the data that we hold on companies.

With a subscription to the Corporate Research Database you get access to all the data we hold on companies, not just to the data that appears in the shopping guides, but you don’t get access to the shopping guides or magazines.

About the Ethical Consumer website

Subscribers can access our shopping guides on the website. We have over 100 shopping guides at present.

Our unique shopping guides are powered by our Corporate Research Database. This database contains information on over 40,000 companies, brands and products.

We've developed the world's most sophisticated and simple to use, personal ethical rating system to turn this data into the score tables on our shopping guides.

The database is a result of over 20 years work conducting primary and secondary research and systematically organising it using our ratings system. Our ratings cover around 300 topics in 19 areas in 5 main categories. We continue to update it daily.

Subscribers can also access detailed product, brand & company information on our company pages.

Subscribers will also have access to the most recent magazine and our back catalogue in digital format.
